Beta channel downloads using external file host?

Just curious why you aren't using the normal github release pages for "beta" builds. Hosting files using a third party upload site just seems a bit odd (and there are definitely weird ads). It seems like it would actually be easier to just automate the builds via github in a weekly/nightly build process.
