[feature request] altitude profile of given route

Is there any chance to add another great feature like height (altitude) profiles for any given route? Something similar to outdooractive.com. When zooming the route the height profile would update too. Maybe implemented as overlay?

Thanks for filing this issue. Yes, I am planning to do that. For offline mode, the main obstacle right now is to get that data distributed. Elevation data (as it is), is rather large and impractical to have when we are using it with Valhalla. For online mode, I will have to see if the service that we use provides it.

But, in terms of functionality, I would like to make it possible.
