9.9.9.9 is a popular global "secure" DNS server that many people use in their forwarders (for example).

Hmmm, their website says "no". But we had to pull it from our forwarders.

Sounds like an issue that you should be reported to q9 ? Do use dig or nslookup to verify if it is DNS issue or something else.

FYI family.adguard-dns.com blocks it as well, which is an upstream Adguard Home DNS server. I sent support an email to remove it.
