Steps to reproduce

When Firefox is opened and I then open Edge, a new window opens in Firefox. Does not happen when I uninstall MSEdgeRedirect. Started using GoAwayEdge to avoid this behaviour.

Updating MSEdgeRedirect to version 8 did not alter this.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Not to have Firefox open a new window.

❌ Actual Behavior

When Firefox is opened and I then open Edge, a new window opens in Firefox.

I'm facing the same problem, but with Vivaldi. I use Vivaldi as a standard browser. But whenever I want to open Edge, a new Vivaldi window jumps together.

Yes that one is Chrome, but it is the same for any browser.

any fix yet? my setup is a potato computer that uses single digit cpu for office purpose, and the sudden popup of both edge and whatever default browser im using really took the pc down, please

I am seeing something similar: whenever I launch Edge, it also launches Chrome. The behavior stops if MSER is uninstalled.

Sadly I installed Go Away Edge instead. A shame that this issue is not fixed.

Not really better and it causes several apps running in my systray to crash.

It would be great if MSER could be updated to solve this!
