Steps to reproduce

Almost every time the MSEdgeRedirect tool is used, it pops up the notification to update the app. Like many others, I have to go to my IT department to update the app. I get the update notification 3-6 times a day and it is incredibly annoying.

✔️ Expected Behavior

Please allow the option to disable the update reminders or at least snooze the reminder for a week.

❌ Actual Behavior

The update reminder pops up almost every time the app is used, even if you dismissed it just a couple hours before.

Rename the attached file from NoUpdates.txt to NoUpdates.reg and double click to import it. It should disable checking for updates.

Once your updated. You can change the 1 to a 0 in the file and double click it again to re-enable update checking.

I will revamp update checking. It currently only checks 10% of the time, but MSER handles A LOT more than when it first released so users with more features enabled may be getting the check too often.

Thanks for the response. I updated today, so I'm good to go for now. Do appreciate the updates by the way! Just not enough to be reminded six times daily :)

I'm getting this also, but I get this if I'm not doing anything to redirect to MS Edge, although I'm not sure if maybe something is running in the background. Happens on multiple computers where I have MSER installed, and on my main home PC even after I updated to the latest version it's still doing it. The reminder popup is also not respecting other windows such as when playing a game.
