Install MSEdgeRedirect Run MSEdgeRedirect Try the example command to check redirect

✔️ Expected Behavior

The redirect works

❌ Actual Behavior

MS Edge opens instead of redirecting to my default browser.

Sounds like it's not running. Service mode requires MSEdgeRedirect to run in the background. There should be a msedgeredirect folder in the startmenu where you can manually launch it
