Can't connect SendCode to R Studio in Linux Mint Sylvia

Hi! I am trying to connect the Sublime 3 to R Studio. I was able to do it before, but since I had to update R this week now it doesn't work any longer. I reinstall the package, updated the R studio (current version is 1.1.44). I check that the file in sublime is save as a .R script. The problem is that some connection is going on, when I hit "Control+Enter" to sent the line to RStudio the only thing that is sent is a "." and I get the following message [Error: unexpected input in " " ] what else can i try?

I am now on RStudio 1.1.447 and it works perfectly. How about restart RStudio with a new session?

EDIT: by the way, it is a Kubuntu, but I don't think it will make a huge difference.
