Documentation missing for `bin/importmap pin` path construction

There's currently no info (seemingly on the entire internet) on how to figure out and construct proper pin urls. Here's my hotwired discourse question about this, unanswered at the time of this writing, that goes into specifics with examples. I would contribute docs for this, but I genuinely couldn't find any answers.
