TTS not using default Audio output

The TTS function is always going to my speakers even when headphones are selected as my default and all other Chrome audio is going to my headphones

I have no idea why! This extension uses the standard API, and there is no option to set the output destination for TTS. Have you tried with a Watson engine like "Kate (female)"?
