Feature Request: Image and Live Transitions
Are slide transitions applied only to songs or also to presentations and images? Also, would it be possible to have a transition when items go live?
They are only applied to text items (i.e. songs, bible passages) and not to images. It should be possible to add however at some point. Feel free to rename this issue and make this a feature request for that!
As for transitions when an item goes live, I believe there should be at least a fade in transition there. How would you want it to work?
I don't think there is a transition when a playlist item becomes live, when it replaces another item. It just cuts right to the item, with no fading or option to fade. Having such an option would be useful, and would give the overall presentation a smoother feel, in my opinion. Hopefully that explains it well.
I'm afraid I can't reproduce that behavior. When I have activated the setting to use the fade transition and then move from on item to another, it first changes to black and then uses a fade in transition when the lyrics appears. I take it that that's not what's happening for you?
That is what is happening, with the verses. I am talking about a transition between items in a playlist. Like in-between songs and not just lyrics; say a transition when the background image changes. Same with presentations and image groups.
It should only behave the way I described between two text-based items, sorry if that wasn't clear! We haven't implemented any transition between other items yet, such as images or presentation slides, so that you don't see anything there at the moment is to be expected. It's on the to-do list, so we'll get to it at some point.
