Insane lag spikes when moving too fast through portal

Now i know that you have stated you dont have time to maintain 1.16.5 forge anymore but please brother i need your help, i built my entire 215 mod pack around your mod meaning i put it as the first mod and if there were any conflicts i would never remove immersive portals

when you make a portal in the mod, sometimes when you move too fast through the portal it will result up in 0,5 frames pr sec and only once you manage to leave sight of the portal it will stop

i would be insanely gratefull if you could look into this, as this is my last major issue with my pack

i used alot of months on it and it was suppose to be the better minecraft pack but someone beat me to it :-/
