Allow User to Select Frequency of Update Notifications (based on semantic versioning)

Suggestion

To distinguish between major and minor updates, and allow user to select update frequency.

Use case

Rather than downloading 4.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.5.3, user can select different option and only receive notification of updates upon 4.5.x, 4.6.x, 4.7.x updates.
