What sort of content is in the resource? What areas of Python does it cover?
Quoting their About section,
The Machine Learning Specialization is a foundational online program created in collaboration between DeepLearning.AI and Stanford Online. This beginner-friendly program will teach you the fundamentals of machine learning and how to use these techniques to build real-world AI applications. It covers core Data Science libraries with focus on Machine Learning.
Please give any additional information about the resource you think is worth including, as well as any potential limitations
The pricing is variable - their Enrollment Options mention auditing for free without the certificate and applying for financial aid.
+1 I did the earlier matlab version of this a few years ago, it's a great course.
Looks like this is the anticipated "python edition" of the course. Andrew Ng's courses are the most recommended AI courses of which I'm aware, so if someone would like to write a blurb for it, I'll include it in my open resources PR.
Update on the pricing: It looks like you can opt to audit each of the individual courses for free, but if you try to enroll the entire series, it will not explain that and only show the option to pay.
I really like this suggestion but unfortunately, the labs are locked if you audit the course, so the value of it goes down considerably.
FWIW there are python implementations of the older course here but I'm not sure how the current python exercises/labs are.
It's not a requirement for our resources list that the resource is free. A lot of great resources are paid and well worth the money.
Aye, I was just mentioning that auditing doesn't unlock labs/exercises. It's a an amazing resource, learned quite a lot from the older course.
A general question that anyone familiar with Coursera can answer: What does it cost, if anything, to view the course? Here I see "Enroll for Free"

Is it "free to enroll" in the sense that there's no added cost for the course over a baseline Coursera subscription? While it's fine if the course has a price (and I think it would probably be worth the price), we want to make that clear for our users.
It's free to view the course, but you can pay to to get the certificate. That's at least how it was when I did it

It is completely free, the only limitations are that you won't get a certificate and you won't be able to access the "optional" labs/quizzes.
To watch the content, you need to basically go to courses tab, and select a course and "enroll" in them. When you're prompted with the 7-day free trial message, you simply need to click on "Audit this course" and you'll have access to it.
