@lmbelo But the problem was that BufferedLayout was introduced in Delphi 10.4. I see the IFDEFS are related to LINUX. Am I missing something?

OK. So the verdict on this issue is that fmx is not supported in versions earlier than 10.4.

Fixed in version control. The fix will be available in the next release.
