[Packaging] Xbox support
The docs mention that new EDGE will come to Xbox in 2021. Please close this issue when PWAs running on the new EDGE browser is supported on Xbox(currently PWAs run on old EDGE runtime). Till then let it remain open.
An update on this: The new Edge is coming to XBox in preview this spring, with stable anticipated in the fall.

Update on this: The XBox team hasn't prioritized this work. I understand there are some technical challenges in implementing this on XBox due to Edge's multi-process architecture. There is no estimated ETA for this capability.

Just got word from the Edge team that support for XBox is now planned and is expected to arrive in 2023. Unfortunate it's taking that long, but there were some significant architecture challenges to land this.
Edge team says,
"XBox has aggressive memory reclamation policies...we are basically constrained to 1GB total for all Edge processes...so right now Edge is getting out-of-memory issues on XBox...our architecture of creating a process tree can cause some difficulties on the XBox platform"
That's essentially the challenge in a nutshell. Edge team is devoting some resources specifically to this problem, but they figure it won't be solved this year.
We'll update this thread as new info comes to light.
I'd like to see this. There is a lot of development I've been doing mostly in JS that gets shipped as a PWA as of late and I'd love to see my apps reach Microsoft's xbox. GDevelop in particular for games has me interested.
@chrisvanwell @gnubyte Thanks guys for keeping this in a loop, we see your interest. But unfortunately plans for this was delayed once again and we don't have clear dates. We will try to rise this question again and address the community interest but don't expect anything soon.
