Another option is use LSP and LSP-elixir, so that you use the language server to format the code, instead of using the current app environment, which triggers recompilation.

Maybe spec should have a meta scope, will it allow better customization? I'm not very familiar with color scheme customization, just throwing ideas around.

Merge the PR and then make a GitHub release, doing this will also tag it. Package Control will pick up the new tag.
