DataTable Showcase: multi select and unselect not working on iPad

Describe the bug

trying out the multiple selection and data table selection events on the showcase isn’t working on iPad.

i can select items but not unselect or select multiple rows in that example

ipad air 4th gen ios 17.6.1

Steps to reproduce the behavior

go to data table showcase example on ipad and try all the selection examples

Expected behavior

should fire the events and do what the examples say

the Vue showcase examples work as a reference

I think it might be related to using click events instead of pointer events.
