database dump

we should really have a database dump available for folks to populate their local dev versions with. even if it's just a temporary snapshot until the REST API is working, i think this is quite important.

also, imo it should be the full database, to enable folks to do data visualization for things we never considered.

just make sure the users table is sanitized with dummy emails and passwords before making it public.

i need that asap, i don't feel like filling it all myself and have some spare time right now to play around with source code.

@psenough , i see many comments from you requesting it, don't you have access to live db?

@Gargaj , could you please upload your latest backup with truncated info as a starting point?

haven't had live db access since i quit scene.org and pouet.net in 2008.

I know I'm not the most legitimate to try to make a point about it, but legally we can't. People added stuff to pouet knowing how their data would be displayed (comments on prod, bbs post in a thread, user profile), they never agreed to have their data dumped in a way that makes it easy to do whatever you want with it.

REST of everything + CSV of selected data (prods, groups, ...) is still doable, and open IMHO, you just can't crunch data about people and what they've written/voted.

We also have moderation stuff, and some people clearly expressed to no see their data out.

@randuev The pb of the database to develop on it is another subject IMHO and is super important, see https://github.com/lra/pouet.net/issues/42
