Please add application-wide auto-save feature.
Its 2018, come on!
@altaraven I'll tag this as a feature request.
@altaraven Thanks for writing in! We would love to do it immediately, but unfortunately this would break the collaborative workflows of a lot of our users. We're pretty sure we're headed in that direction though, so stay tuned for updates.
Any updates on this? I ran a collection assuming it would save all the current request changes and spent a little while debugging a 404 response only to discover I hadn't hit "save" on one of the requests.
@vkaegis You can add a checkbox in app settings "Save requests automatically" which will be off by default. So, existing users will not be touched and "collaborative workflows of a lot of our users" will not be broken. Those who need this will just turn it on if they want.
@altaraven Thanks for the input! This is a bit trickier in collaborative environments where some users might want this feature turned on, while others in the team are okay specifying when to save. Could lead to a lot of conflicts. It's something that needs a bit more thought before we're ready with a solution. We have a whole bunch of features in the works which will simplify versioning and conflict resolution, probably something we can look at in depth after that.
@vkaegis thanks for explanations!
Add as an optional setting?? Its super annoying to go through 50+ api requests and figure out which ones are
Add an optional setting AND provide a popup showing the requests that will be saved with a checked checkbox which you can uncheck for the things you don't want to save.
It’s 2020, come on!
This has tripped me up today. Mainly as something are autosave (titles, labels), and some things are not (data in requests), confusing to have both
Am I supposed to manually save each one of these tabs so I can close them?
It's 2021, come on!
Just for reference, it appears that this issue is duplicated between here and #8195
come on!
Much needed feature indeed
come on dude !!
Why isn't this a thing!?!?!? You can release a new version but not make a simple AUTOSAVE FEATURE!?!
I just lost HOURS of work assuming that Postman (like every other app younger than 15 years old) does auto-save by default. Additionally, the changelog history itself brilliantly only corresponds to MANUALLY SAVED edits so no help there. You've got to be kidding me. This is a really simple hook to implement. I really struggle to understand how you guys don't find the 5 minutes it would take to squeeze this in and get it knocked out. You just lost a fan.
Please! We need this!
It is probably most needed feature... I still hope that they will add it someday..
I'm baffled that this is still not implemented. Makes editing the collections incredibly tedious
Almost 2 years since this was first opened. Please help us.
Just lost a year of documentation work because I figured in 2021 this would be standard :(
It looks if the "save all" feature is not there then I need to stop updating the Postman. After the postman update without saving all the requests then my already opened requests are showing as [CONFLICT]
Sorry for leaving a +1 comment but we would really love to have this feature.
The idea of saving things is becoming less and less common with apps these days. It's so non-intuitive that it's making it hard to onboard new postman users on our team. People forget to save before exporting and sharing collections because they don't know collections need to be saved etc. Almost feels like a bug fix than a feature request.
I really love postman and how easy it makes testing the APIs we build. If auto-save isn't feasible for some reason, a "save all" would be incredibly helpful at the very least.
I'm not sorry for leaving a +1 comment. With multiple collections containings multiple requests, it takes forever to save all the changes.
If the argument is "could lead to conflicts", just make it an option in the settings for those who want to save all their work in one go.
Please consider picking up this feature request again.
Come on, give the people what they want !
It's end 2021. Come on!!
A few years later AIDS and cancer are curable. People fly to Mars on a weekend.
Postman users still save all their tabs manually using super-powerfull nano PCs

Hope Biden's government will look into this.. 😂
