Not all OpenGov Referenda appear
Sometimes, only a small subset (1 or 2) OpenGov referenda show up on the Referenda page, even when there are many more Referenda.
I cannot figure out the reason, but it occurs quite often. It does not seem to be related to the endpoint I use, and it happens on both Polkadot and Kusama relay chains.
Refreshing the page always seems to fix it.
This occurred to me today. The first screenshot is when I first went to the page, then the second after refreshing.
This happened again on Polkadot, with only 7 of 29 Referenda appearing. Refreshing shows all 29. I see different activity in the Javascript Console when this occurs.
When Only 7 Appeared
When All 29 Appeared
This happened again and once again I see the same error message. I don't see it otherwise, which makes me think it is related.
Interesting. I've tried to go through it on day before yesterday, it was working fine for me. I'll try to look into it again tmrw.

It's non-deterministic, as far as I can tell. At least, I can't reliably reproduce it when I try (if I can, I'll post repro steps). But it happens to me approximately once per day. It just happened again and once again I see these errors in the JS console.
I think I've been able to reliably reproduce it!
I am using the latest Chrome.
Go to https://polkadot.js.org/apps/#/referenda Click the little arrow to show Approval/Support curves on a Referendum. Do not close it. Go to another tab in Chrome (and maybe do some other things) for a while, maybe 5 minutes When you come back, the only Referendum to appear will be the one you clicked the arrow on (and sometimes one other, although this is rare... so there still is some sort of non-deterministic aspect to it..)
I've tried to reproduce the issue over the past few days, but the functionality has consistently worked for me. It did worked 10/10 times.
Very weird. I know both Raul and I have seen this numerous times, and I can reliably (100% of the time following the steps above) reproduce it.
Can you think what might be a difference that may make this occur?
Can you please tell me which browser you are testing it on? I'm on Chrome.
Also Chrome - Version 137.0.7151.41 (Official Build) (arm64)
Unfortunately, We are not able to reproduce this on our end. In past couple of days, we tried several times but it works as expected every single time.
I’ve been encountering the same issue for several months and was finally able to replicate it. In my case, it occurs when I vote on any ongoing referendum. All other referenda disappear from the list (only the one I just voted on remains visible). This happens consistently and restores after refreshing the page.
I also captured the console logs while this happened. A few may be relevant errors:
createType(Call):: findMetaCall: Unable to find Call with index [28, 0] and [19, 0]
signAndSend.error: Error: Cancelled
Multiple timeouts from Button detection aborting due to timeout.
Disconnection logs: Disconnected from polkadot{.js} – 0x6e10...content
Ps. Also using Chrome Version 137.0.7151.120 (Official Build) (arm64)
Quite interesting! I'll surely take another look now. I'll use the above test case to try to reproduce the issue. Hopefully, I can experience it on my end as well. It's been a little hard till now.
I just experienced this using outdated Brave version 1.73.104 Chromium: 131.0.6778.204 (Official Build) (arm64) Yet it worked properly at same time when I used outdated Chrome version 136.0.7103.113 (Official Build) (arm64) I reinstalled Brave to latest version and that fixed it 1.79.126 (Official Build) (arm64) Chromium: 137.0.7151.119

By voting on referendums, I’m able to reproduce the issue. Some referendums disappear after voting, though it doesn’t happen consistently. It usually occurs intermittently. That said, I’m actively looking into it's fix.
Hey everyone, I have just created this PR#11651 that will hopefully fix the issue where referenda temporarily disappear on voting.
