Speed Limit Data Cached for Offline Use

I'm using a car head unit running Android & I'm not continually connected to a data source. I have to tether my phone for data. It would be nice if there were a way for the app to cache speed limit data for a given user configurable area. Would that be possible?

I've released 1.4.0-beta which caches the speed limits you encounter. A user-configurable area like Google Maps will be much harder to implement, so that's going to be on the long-term roadmap.

Is it feasible to have a file that contains the speed limit data for a region? I imagine it would be easier if this was not user defined, but split by region, such as by county/country depending on the size of these files?

I vote for this! If i drive in other countries and places without mobile network it would be great to pre - cache areas.
