New Network Grouping method on Player Retention: "Server"

Open Scot-Survivor opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

I would like to be able to..

Under the network tab, you can view a graph for player retention, it would be called to see a "Server", that groups it by server, so we can see what servers are retaining the most players from the one tab.

While "join address" achieves this somewhat, it isn't perfect since not everyone uses forced hosts.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

N/A

This may be difficult since it would be the same as viewing server specific non-grouped retention graphs together, so the data required to render it is multiplied by however many servers you have

Oooh I see, that makes sense 🤔

Hmm, I'll see if I can think of a different way

Players may also have joined multiple servers which may make the comparison between servers difficult 🤔

Also a good point, but in theory, that's fine, what I want. If a player likes both Creative & Survival, then I would want the retention rate of both individual servers to reflect that personally.

But at the same time, activity index may be a better way to tell what's the most popular server 🤔

Aha! So there could be a "Whole network / Individual servers" switch on the whole thing separate from the other settings

Oooh yes. that's a good idea
