Here's the gradients I created during our discussion in issue #57

Not sure what's going on with the ACHT product, going to have to take a look into it, it's not aligned with the map at all. https://goes.freakinbananas.xyz/goes16/non-cmip/fd/acht/2019-07-25/GOES16_FD_ACHT_20190725T202044Z.jpg

It would appear that it only shows a portion of the full disk and cuts off the rest, makes the image look rather odd, but it's normal behavior: https://www.goes-r.gov/imagesContent/users/products/GOES-16-Cloud-Top-Temperature.jpg

It would be nice to have either black or white background alternatives for the gradients :)

I'll have to take a look at it, IIRC the background color is dependent on the product, some products choose the lowest value for pixels without data, while others use the highest value.

Hi, is there a way to put a legend on the images so I know what I am looking at?

Quick question about ACHA and ACHT. The map overlay seems to be off. Is there a way to line the two up so they match?

The map overlay isn't off, those products only work over a range of satellite zenith angles. Basically, the algorithm that derives those products doesn't work if the satellite is too low in the sky for a given location.
