I think the prerequisites section should be merged when the the next Pi-hole version is released. The setting-static-IP section could follow later.

Then the reference of the first to the second needs to be removed. But if there is still some polishing required, then it makes sense to at least have the corrected prerequisites merged, so there is no contradiction between docs and installer.
Closing as I don't have the will to work on this. I'm not a technical writer, so it is hard to find the motivation to write guides for network managers I don't and will never use.
There is a bit that needs removing from the prerequisites page which I will address in a separate PR
