Do more user research to find out what the right solution is for this. Qualitative comments, quantitative metrics? both? Perhaps we can incorporate some of this in the usability testing...

There's also work on data citation standards as part of the [Data Usage Vocabulary](https://www.w3.org/TR/vocab-duv/#Citation_Model)
