Support for per-article licenses?
I'd very strongly prefer to see my old stuff under a plain CC BY-SA license. I really dislike the NC clause.
That said, I don't know if I have standing to request that, since I think my stuff was written for ORA way back when. If they licensed the content to TPF only under CC BY-SA-NC 3.0 then there's not much I can do about it.
But regardless, it might be good to support per-article licenses.
That's an interesting request. Perhaps we can update the site license to CC BY-SA, as CC BY-SA-NC is not a free license. @cbrandtbuffalo what do you think?
If a sweeping license change isn't possible, then maybe we could append some standard text to @autarch's articles like: "This article is licensed under ...".
Perhaps a license field in the article meta-data that defaults to whatever it is now. That adds some text or the right link somewhere.
And, we should make all the future articles use the same license if the author doesn't have strong feelings.
That could work - we could include the license section in the template, so the article source text doesn't have the license appended to it, it would only appear in the finished html.
