With some `env` call in `/etc/paludis/bashrc` I found out that the tempdir variable referred by paludis was `T`. The env file is simple as: `T=/new/directory`

I am currently trying to restore my backup. Unfortunately the server connection is VERY spotty so I can't restore it since every time the connection drops, the restore procedure starts...
