the extension icon animation freezes eventually

am running latest version of System Monitor. ChromeOS Version 128.0.6613.118 (Official Build) (64-bit)

After several run-sleep-run-sleep... cycles, the extension icon animation froze, and the mouse pointer hover pop-up baloon stated an unchanging CPU usage percentage (35%)

Is there any reproduction step, or just happen accidentally
