I vote to keep things on continuous delivery. I'd rather maintain a single set of user documentation and release often rather than have the master and latest versions separately.

It's easy to implement endpoints like @umputun mentioned at the backend, but I would propose starting with the frontend, and then we'll implement whatever is needed on the backend.
It looks like the issue is resolved in two linked MRs. Feel free to comment or create new issues if the problem persists.

I think matching `](url)` and showing a validation error should be done better on the frontend.
@akellbl4 I've prepared the backend part of the validation. Could you please alter the frontend will work properly with it?
I've created the issue https://github.com/umputun/remark42/issues/1673 about what is left to be done about this issue. I am resolving this one in favour of 1673.
