Add option to disable menubar

Finalterm seems like a viable candidate for elementaryOS and its philosophy. eOS apps need to be in vala and follow the elementary OS HIG (http://elementaryos.org/docs/human-interface-guidelines), and optionally use Granite (http://people.ubuntu.com/~ricotz/docs/vala-doc/granite/). It would be nice to have a granite branch and/or have the menubar change into a cogmenu if granite is detected, possibly even have the menubar removed altogether. I'd be interested in helping out.

I would love nothing more than seeing Final Term become part of a distro. From a quick web search I take it that you are an elementary maintainer/team member and can actually make this happen (correct me if I'm wrong). That would be amazing! :tropical_fish:

At the moment, I anticipate a stable release of Final Term some time in 2014. With Luna having been released just recently, it might be possible to get FT+elementary married for an upcoming release, depending on elementary's envisioned release cycle (which I know nothing about).

As far as the technical part goes: I don't know Granite, so I can't estimate how many changes would be needed in order to move from GMenu to a cog menu etc. If the number of changes is not too high, it could be solved by conditional compilation, otherwise a separate branch would be better, though the question of maintainability arises. If you are willing to give it a shot, please feel free to branch off; I'll do my best to help.

P.S.: Any problems anticipated with the HIGs?

P.P.S.: It is my understanding that elementary is currently developing its own (VTE-based) terminal. How does Final Term fit in here?

So on that score alone, Final Term looks like it way ahead of Pantheon Terminal.

How does one destroy a menubar?

Is there a gnome setting to remove the white bar?

If you comment https://github.com/p-e-w/finalterm/blob/master/src/FinalTerm.vala#L59, the menu will be gone.
