Doesn't work touchpad on 6.9.0-2.el9ueknext.x86_64

Open natomist opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Touchpad works well either 5.14.0-427.33.1.el9_4.x86_64 and 5.15.0-209.161.7.2.el9uek.x86_64 But it doesn't work if I boot with 6.9.0-2.el9ueknext.x86_64

System settings in KDE shows "Touchpad not found" message

I can provide any additional information if you tell me the command I should run.

Hi @natomist

Could you please share these details, which might help us understanding the issue more.

  1. What rpms of UEK-next were installed ?
  2. What is the type of machine you are using ?
  3. Do you see a difference in modules related to touchpad from UEK7 vs 6.9.0-UEK-next ? a. difference between dmesg of both UEK7 and UEK-next kernels b. difference between $ lsmod , $ lsusb , $lspci outputs

Thanks, Harshit

@natomist what type of touchpad is this? Builtin / USB / Bluetooth?

On a working system, can you provide the output of the commands lsmod, and depending on if it is builtin or not, lsusb -v and lspci -v

@natomist - can you check whether this is working for you with UEK-next 6.12.0-4?
