This resource is more complicated than it looks, however the folks at Minitex would be happy to see this happen. I have access to the private repo in github/Minitex with OTL scraping code. If anyone wants to work on it please contact me as there are a number of paths to make a ZIM file, in particular, the OPDS -> ZIM route could be reusable for a number of resources.
Linked and need probably https://github.com/openzim/gutenberg/milestone/5 to work probably. Definitly interested OPDS -> ZIM
@eshellman Does the OPDS stream of Open Textbox Library is public?
@eshellman we are still waiting for your answer to close this issue please
right now I do not have access to any non-public minitex repos, and I don't remenber what I was referring to
Recipe created https://farm.openzim.org/recipes/opentextbooks_en_all
The file content is not scraped properly https://dev.library.kiwix.org/viewer#opentextbooks_en_all_2024-08 I've tried changing the scope type to all the options but no success
This website cannot be scraped easily with Zimit at all (lot's of clicks to simulate, most books are hosted on external web domains) and it probably provides no value since there might be an OPDS catalog to fetch.
I just tagged it "Scraper Needed" because it is not yet clear if / when https://github.com/openzim/gutenberg/milestone/5 will be implemented.
Rename to Open Textbook Library by Open Education Network to avoid confusing due to generic name
