It would improve the security immensely since executables are not gpg signed either. You can get an open source developer certificate from Certum for less than 30€ provided that you have a secure usb key to put the certificate on.

Thanks, for link. I was looking for something like this in past. Unfortunately, I don't own functional usb-key usable for this. But later, we can try handle this somehow...
