Monitoring Metrics for connector components

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We need visibility into the processing of connectors. When monitoring the collector, we want metrics/traces for the connectors.

Describe the solution you'd like All connectors send Prometheus metrics similar to receivers/exporters. Also adding traces would be great.
