No Red Border Displayed on SELECT if required

Describe the bug There is no red border displayed on the required SELECT DROPDOWN when the form is submitted and remains empty.

Expected behavior As part of form validation, a red border should be displayed on the required SELECT DROPDOWN when the form is submitted and the SELECT DROPDOWN remains unselected.
