Feature-request: Clear recently opened

Selecting "Open Recent" shows the recently opened files. However, there's no option to clear that list. Also, if an item is selected from that list that no longer exists, then it should be automatically removed from the list.

By the way, the term "recent" implies that it only lists files within a certain amount of time. For example, within a week from now. However, there's no option to set that amount of time. It doesn't appear to be time based, because I've seen really old files listed there. If that's the case, then don't call it "Open Recent", say "Open Previous".
