Revision Mode tools
Revision Mode tools here is a video to show what it looks like in Scrivener. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hm2ZxE5PFfU
This Feature will not happen this way...
But we have this: https://github.com/olivierkes/manuskript/issues/233 Highlight Support for http://criticmarkup.com/
What we need now, is a Revision-Modus which works with http://criticmarkup.com/
- Mark all changes with this Syntax automated
- Accept or decline these changes with PopUp-Menu and/or Hotkeys
Then it's even better...
Pandoc also Supports the Syntax: https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/2873
@obw I have added a CriticMarkup icon set #751
As has been argued here: https://github.com/jgm/pandoc/issues/2873#issuecomment-990728062
If criticmarkup would be interpreted as just a style element for your coauthors. Version tracking and revision could be handled by version control systems like git.
Comments and deletions are just useful style elements in an evolving text. Some texts will later be published with all comments resolved and changes accepted. Others will stay drafts for ever.
Couldn't revisons be well handled by branching, merging, ... capability of git.
@ttxtea Thanks for the input. There's already a discussion issue ( #871 ) about changing the revision system to something like git or svn in the future.
it mite be good to add a way to add draft number and revised by line on title page
