this would be cool, you can use kde connect for a little bit of the functionality, but not nearly all of it

Some file manager apps have a way to open a "local web server" within themselves which you can then access via any PC within the local network.

Something like that would be nice for sending/receiving messages. (Ensure it is secured though. Hehe. And all features like character counter should be present. It annoyed me to no end that Google Messages for Web had no character count and I had been asking them for it for YEARS. Sorry for the rant lol.)

Hey there @zd3sf , if you wish this feature to be worked upon, i incite you to transform this bounty into a plain donation. Bounties do not work, they only put more pressure on the maintainers of opensource porject without actually helping them. Whereas if you gave them this money right away, it would help them dedicate more time to this project, and specifically this suggestion. Hope you consider these arguments :)
