Describe the feature you'd like When swiping right on a conversation, it should show how many messages have been sent/received.

Additional context This is a feature in Textra that Id like to see here. Not all of my messages are syncing when I switch to Quik so Id like to see how many messages are there.

as an alternative for now you can go into a conversation, then select a message by long press on message background

select all

header shows total number of messages in the conversation

I just tried that and it made the app freeze up. To the point I got a toast about it not responding. Using 4.11.

Edit: Out of curiousity, I tried it in a convo that was a lot smaller (112 messages) and it worked. It doesnt like the 79k messages with my girlfriend. 😬

i'll see if i can whip up a script to create 79k + messages so i work on speeding up the select all feature

ps that's a lot of incriminating evidence to keep on your girlfriend ;)

I need to reinstall textra and see what they've been cooking up. another UX QoL would be swiping LtR from the L edge to navigate out of a convo into the messages list, a la telegram.
