within KDE's Kate, some symbols don't respect the double-width:  _top: with space as padding; bottom: no spaces between symbols_ would it be a good idea to center the glyphs...

Textual has matured a lot in the last few months, and I see it as a very good alternative to the harder-to-write urwid :)
