Allow custom Resolve installation directory

Open robinkoehler opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

If Resolve is not installed in the default directory, the program does not find it. Please allow the user to specify the custom path for the .exe in the config file.

Thank you for this great tool!

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

Unfortunately, the Resolve API only works if Resolve is installed in the default directory due to how it was programmed by Blackmagic. We could not find a workaround, but if anyone has any suggestion, we'd be happy to implement it asap.

Cheers!

Thank you octimot for the reply! Dang, ok. That's interesting. I have tried it with a symbolic link pointing to the actual install directory. This doesn't throw the error message, but it crashes the program afterwards :-( Shame about this limitation, it's a great implementation otherwise! All the best with the project
