Strange Rendering Behavior

I'm on Ubuntu 17.04, and using gnome-terminal as my terminal emulator. I think utop is getting the incorrect terminal size, but, here is what it looks like

This behavior makes it pretty much unusable. I think it's because of my terminal emulator. When I ssh into this machine from another machine, utop behaves fine. sshing into this machine through localhost produces the same issue.

Any ideas?

I am encountering the same problem, but with iTerm 2 (3.3.9) on macOS 10.15.4. Running utop in the native Terminal app produces no such problems.
