you could manually edit the file and search for italic and comment out the stuff you don't like. https://github.com/nyoom-engineering/oxocarbon.nvim/blob/e5038be6c86cd774f8a0edbd34de99184d3ad64c/fnl/oxocarbon/init.fnl#L272 comment out this line with ;;

I have no idea what that is, I don't know anything about fnl
