[Bug]: Binding not working or the manual on how to use binding is missing out big time.

What happened?

So I'm trying to link a button and a switch using the binding tab. In order to do so, I enter the binding tab of a device to enable the button to control the switch. What exactly do I need to do to get it working here? In order to accomplice the button controlling the light, do I have to enter the light switch or the switch? I cant find this info any where, but I tried to enter something in bouth and one and the other, nothing does anything. I have beet reading in the manual, the Tip says to use the front end, but then nothing about how to use the front end. Also all the stuff that is not about the front end, it really does not tell you how to use the backend (I don't know if you call it the back end or something else?), I guess I somehow need to edit or change the YML file, but after reading a lot in the manual and getting started guide, I have found zero info on how to actually use and where to find the YML file and editor? Could you please make a how to video about all these common most basic things. It feels like you all think it's 2. nature, but too all us new bees... At least I feel completely lost. For me I would personally call a link between a light and a button a link of those, but I'm getting a feeling that you call that an automation!? Is that correct or are some just using faulty terminologi, when calling a link an automation? I'm trying to create a direct link between the light and the button, to make sure these will work even if the coordinator/computer is down... Edit, so i figured it out, in HA a lin is called an automation, can I still set up a link between a switch and a light and make it work without the coordinator? If yes is it done via Z2M and is it done via the Bind tab or somewhere else? I through the Bind tab then how Is it suppose to work as I can not make it work?

Any help with the binding and how to set it up using the front end would be much appreciated.
