Same here, albeit not very slow. The console output is here

Very slow here too. Using from AUR on Arch + XFCE. Takes some 20-30 seconds to start. Same when I open my favorite tracks (sure there are maybe thousands of them...). But yeah Nuclear feels quite slow. And my laptop has enough juice to deal with these apps :D.

It can take a couple of seconds but should definitely be faster than 20-30s. One thing that can make it slower is if access to the config files is slower than expected (in ~.config), or something stalls it.

I tested it more precisely and takes around 10 seconds it seems. Still quite a long time. And I do not copy any files or anything like that. They are also loading from and SSD.

It then takes around 3 seconds to open my favorite tracks. Some 600 of them.

Also it eats around 400Mb of RAM. Is this normal? 2022-10-10_15-15

Just checked this on my laptop, and it takes about 3.5s to start (and display a window), while taking around 120mb of memory according to ksysguard. There's a few seconds of 180MB usage on startup.

If I nuke the config file for Nuclear it takes around 6-7 seconds. So still a lot. Could be my ssd.....but out of the many thousands of applications that I tested so far on my system, Nuclear is the slowest.
