New Empty Workspace

pain point: currently, creating a new empty workspace is a manual process where the user has to create a workspace from a current workspace which is already empty or they save the current workspace as a new one and then remove all of the panes/settings that they don't want

ideas:

• an empty workspace is defined as (up for discussion)...
  • empty pane in main leaf
  • global workspace settings loaded
  • closed side panels
• create new empty workspace flow
  • via hotkey
    1. type hotkey
    2. new empty workspace is loaded
    3. workspace picker is opened with new workspace added to list and
    4. workspace rename input field focused for the new workspace with "Untitled" in the input field so user can quickly click enter to continue creating their new workspace
    5. should workspace picker close at this point or not? (new tab group in safari keeps side panel open so following that convention would mean keeping picker open)
  • via button in picker or switcher modal (needs design)
