Bug Report

When clicking "Updates" under the Settings menu, a window appears with the only option being to "Remove all components". Also, each successive click of the button launches another "maintenancetool" instance.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open GPT4ALL
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Select "Updates"
  4. Close the window, click "Updates" again, another maintenancetool instance is launched and in the Dock.

Expected Behavior

  1. Maintenance tool checks for app updates, and reports there are, or are not, some rather than pre-selecting potentially destructive action.
  2. Only one "maintainancetool" instance should be launched and exited, rather than multiple.

Your Environment

  • GPT4All version: 3.10.0
  • Operating System: MacOS 15.3.1 (24D70)
  • Chat model used (if applicable): NA
