Hey. This is Ira Aggarwal and Shreeya Garg from Team C018. We noticed that there was no tutorial on how to directly import images from online datasets. So we tried to write a code for the same. Any feedback, suggestions and development ideas are welcomed. brb, exploring more of napari :)

Just so you're aware, there's a pull request open now to improve the behaviour of view_path: https://github.com/napari/napari/pull/1111

I don't think this will affect the advice I've given you here, but we'll double check that after the pull request is merged into napari.

The ideas behind this are useful, because napari can be used to access remote resources. However, it's dated in a number of ways, including the repo the PR is made to. As a result, I'm going to close this. To pursue this, please open a PR to https://github.com/napari/docs A new PR should probably mention napari-ome-zarr plugin https://github.com/ome/napari-ome-zarr For that OME IDR specifically, there is also https://github.com/tlambert03/napari-omero
