Synced tabs is not working

Open lobontiumira opened this issue 5 years ago • 8 comments

Prerequisites

  1. Make sure that you are connected with a valid account on more than one device.
  2. Make sure that you have different tabs open on different devices.
  3. Trigger sync on all devices.

Steps to reproduce

Go to the three-dot menu and tap on Synced tabs and observe if all the opened tabs are displayed on the correct devices.

Expected behavior

Synced tabs list displays all the opened tabs on the device that they are opened.

Actual behavior

Synced tabs list displays pages that are not opened at all, and doesn't display tabs that are opened. Even after retriggering sync, the issue remains.

Device information

  • Android device: OnePlus 5T (Android 9), Google Pixel (Android 10), Windows 10
  • Reference Browser version: 1.0.2007 (#20421207, GV 74.0a1-20200210093912)

Hi, with build R-B 1.0.2022 (Build #21500607) GV: 78.0a1-20200528032513 on Samsung Galaxy S9 the tabs from desktop are not displayed when making manual sync on both devices (desktop and mobile). Nothing is displayed eventhough on desktop and mobile there are tabs. Desktop Firefox Nightly version: 78.0a1 (2020-05-29) (64-bit)

Reproducible with Google Pixel 3 Xl (Android 9) with R-B 1.0.2025 (Build #21670607 GV: 79.0a1-20200610043607)

Hi, verified the issue with R-B 1.0.2026 (Build #21760610 GV: 79.0a1-20200622093309) with Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8). Now the devices connected to the account are displayed in Synced Tabs, except for desktop device, but not the opened tabs.

After a manual sync with new tabs on Google Pixel 3 XL (Android 9)(one of the connected devices to account through Fennec) and then a manual one on Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8) on R-B - the Pixel device disappeared from Synced Tabs

Hi, on RB: 1.0.2032 (Build #22170613 GV: 80.0a1-20200724093206) with Sony Xperia Z5 (Android 7) There still is a problem with synced tabs here as now:

  1. you can't differentiate the version of firefox(nightly, beta, release) on which the account is connected to - in the provided screen for example i was logged with same account on Firefox Release on Google Pixel 3XL and Firefox Nightly on Google Pixel 3XL
  2. you can't see the open tabs
