Support for Debian (repository)

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I can't find it in Debian's repository to install it after issuing a command like: apt search moonlight

Describe the solution you'd like To have it in Debian's repository like all the other programs already there and like the programs that added it after I requested it:

Describe alternatives you've considered I'm interested and I prefer native packages over alternatives because of storage efficiency and easier / safer upgrades, so I don't have much interest in alternatives.

Additional context I would like Sunshine to be available in Deban's repository too to be able to easily install / reinstall / upgrade both, but such a feature request cannot be done through Github and I don't have Discord or whatever is needed to comment on that site.

I understand that you don't have the resources to add support for all Linux distributions, but Debian is one of the biggest and most popular distributions out there:

If a Debian developer would like to file an ITP, I am happy to assist getting any packaging issues resolved. However, I don't think we will be officially maintaining the Debian package ourselves upstream.

Well, that's reasonable, thanks for the reply! Hopefully one will want to do this. At the moment though, I don't know where to ask them or raise their awareness.

A good place to start is by filing a Request for Package (RFP) as documented here:

As of writing, I don't yet see moonlight included in the list of requested packages:
